Espresso Train is an initiative of the Nundah Community Enterprises Cooperative (NCEC). Our motto "We don't employ people to cater; we cater so we can employ people" encapsulates our misison of providing meanigful employment for people with a disability. Our cafe is managed by Kirsty Balmer who has decades of experience in hospitality including a stint in London where she helped restaurants and café’s become more sustainable (environmentally, socially and economically). We are a social enterprise and receive no ongoing funding so we rely upon our great food and a consistently high standard of service to survive and thrive! Other than by purchasing our fabulous food, you can assist us at any time by giving to our 'Work for us for a day' appeal. Work for us for a day seeks to cover the 24% more (measured by independent research) it costs us to run as a social enterprise.
By logging on to the secure Westpac site you can give a recurring or one off donation. All donations are tax deductible and you receive and instant tax receipt. We then send you this badge: which you can choose to wear on June 30 each year to help promote the work and business of the Espresso Train and the Nundah Co-op. To find out more visit here:
